Summary: The Kitchenaid 5-Speed hand blender is offers great versatility for an immersion blender. With the choice of 3 different blades and 5 speeds, it can be used for just about anything. Kitchenaid could have possibly done a better job on the design, but we think it's still a solid choice with regards to the price.
8 Inch Arm: This immersion blender has an 8-inch arm that has a non-stick grip and twist and lock function that makes blending in deep pots and pans a breeze. Being able to easily switching between any of its three blades, without the need for tools, makes any cooking task easy.
3 Different Blades: The “S” blade, which is exclusively for blending, crushing, shredding or pureeing, is the perfect tool for creating drinks that will tantalize your palate. This Immersion blender’s multipurpose option chops or minces foods (think pico de gallo), and last but certainly not least, the beater blade can whip up pancakes or waffle mix and any other creamy deliciousness you can think up. If the blade attachments weren’t great enough all on their own, the Kitchenaid 5 Speed comes with a pan guard to preserve your cookware, also.
BPA-Free: The plastic blending pitcher and cups, which are also BPA-free and dishwasher safe, can we used to create anything, from whisking cake batter to chopping nuts. This device also features a 5-foot long cord that is extra long for larger kitchen spaces.
Great Motor: Its DC motor is both powerful and quiet and you can select your pace with 5 speed options.
Extra-Long Arm: First, it’s extra long arm makes reaching inside any pot doable without covering your hand in whatever mixture you’re blending. Its arm while already being long enough to reach inside any bowl, also features an ergonomic design that is easy on the hand and arm.
Pan Guard: While each blade is made to conquer a different task and is individually great, the pan guard is an awesome addition. Not only does it keep your appliance in tip-top shape, it also prevents you from damaging the inside of your other dishes. With that being said, it comes with blades and attachments that are literally usable for any kitchen task.
Easy Cleanup: An additional benefit of purchasing this appliance is that each of its attachments and containers are dishwasher safe… and we all know that means an easy clean up. Secondly, the plastic is all created out of BPA-free material, which makes them safe, too.
Quiet Motor: If the attachments, design, look, blades and pan guard wasn’t enough for you, the motor that is quiet enough to use while your toddler is asleep should really seal the deal. Considering it also comes with a year warranty from the manufacturer you can’t go wrong.
However, there could be some improvements in the weight displacement. Because of its quality construction (we are definitely not complaining), it tends to be a bit heavier than the average immersion blender. So even though it’s comfortable on your hand, your arm is eventually going to get tired.
That being said, that price is also right. Sitting at approximately $100, this is absolutely a device that will go well in every kitchen at a price that most people can afford. Not only are you buying a quality immersion blender, but you’re also getting half a dozen attachments and containers to go with it.

Its DC motor, dishwasher safe and BPA-free design, several attachments and variety of blades makes this an excellent buy for any immersion blender shopper.
